NavigationAs winners of the competition set by the Az_W in 2003, the Walking Chair Design Studio was involved into the design of the "a_show" exhibition for many years. As the subject areas were continuously improved by the curators, the exhibition was re-opened for three times. A publication developed by Walking Chair and Walter Pamminger was released as an addition to the exhibition.
With the long-running exhibition "a_show" (a stands for architecture, Austria and the Achleitner collection), the Austrian Museum of Architecture is opening a permanent showcase for the cultural identity of the nation, and presenting 150 years of impressive domestic architecture history for the first time in one exhibition in Austria.
Upon the request of Az_W director Dietmar Steiner, Walking Chair designed a lounge suite named Monte Bello especially for the exhibition’s "modern arts area". The comfortable suite enables the exhibition visitors to relax while enjoying the objects of modern art which were displayed on screens.
A time line which was also developed by Walking Chair stretches over the 250 sq m exhibition area, presenting various historical levels of the "a_show". The "Pin Up" pin boards by Walking-Chair were used at the "a_show" for the first time.
